Kurt Angle on Teaming Up With The Shield: “Holy Sh*t, It’s Great”

The Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle is one of the most decorated superstars in WWE history. The legend is well known for his iconic wrestling style and feuds in the Attitude Era.

In 2017, WWE appointed Hall of Famer Kurt Angle as the Raw General Manager. Soon after that, Angle got into a feud with The Miz and The Bar. At the end of the year, The Shield reunited, where they feuded with The Miz alongside Kurt Angle.

In the latest episode of the Kurt Angle Show, the wrestler was questioned about his TLC appearance with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Angle had competed in a 3 on 5 traditional TLC match. During the Kurt Angle Show, he explained how happy he was being a part of the Shield for a night.

He said, “Yeah, I was I was marking out I was a fanboy with the shield up in the crowd and I’m like, holy sh*t. It’s great. I’m actually part of The Shield tonight. I was all smiles, even all the way in the rain. It was just so much fun. You know, those guys. I’ve had a lot of respect for them over the years and the success they had was unparalleled. They’re one of the best factions in the history of wrestling. And to be a part of that one night was just a huge honor.”

WWE Universe watched the Hall of Famer’s in-ring return in an epic showdown against The Miz, Braun Strowman, Kane, Sheamus, and Cesaro. Angle had replaced Roman Reigns for the TLC pay-per-view.

The Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle made a phenomenal display of strength crushing The Bar and The Miz. As the four men dumped Braun Strowman into the garbage truck, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose got back into action.

However, it wasn’t enough to stop them. Kurt Angle then stepped up again as he slammed Cesaro and Sheamus with the Angle Slam outside the ring. Eventually, The Miz attacked Angle to try and grab a victory with the ‘Skull Crushing Finale’, but Angle kicked out.

Angel then picked his momentum back and slammed The Miz with the Angle Slam, ending with The Sheild Triple Bomb to pick up the win. This match is one of the greatest matches of all time from Kurt Angle’s wrestling career and the WWE legend clearly enjoyed being a part of it.
