

Over the years, there have been many wrestlers who have had excellent connections with WWE’s CEO Vince McMahon. WWE Hall of Famer and Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle was also one of them. Kurt usually has nothing but high praise for Vince. However, there was once a time where both men had a strenuous relationship.
Speaking to Conrad Thompson on The Kurt Angle Show, Angle revealed how he would constantly text Vince and even threaten to beat him up. He said,

“Well, up until 2006, we were pretty close, but, you know, my behavior became erratic. I started, you know, behaving out of control, sending Vince text messages, threatening to beat him up. I mean, it was crazy. Angle continued, “I had the painkiller problem that nobody knew about. I was injured so much and I couldn’t take any time off because a lot of the other talent were injured.”
“So a lot of top guys — so I was kind of there to keep the product intact. And it just mentally — I was just losing it and I was texting Vince more and more. He wouldn’t respond so that would piss me off even more and after I joined ECW, it got even worse.”
We couldn’t even imagine someone threatening to beat up Mr. McMahon, much less Kurt Angle.

Kurt Angle thinks of Vince McMahon as a father figure
In another episode of his podcast, Angle revealed how he could never say no to Vince McMahon. He never turned down anything creative and always said yes. The Hall of Famer was always crazy enough to do anything. So when WWE would tell him to cut a promo, he would do it. They’d tell him to do something in a match, he would do it. Angle was always been about making his father figure proud.
