Kurt Angle Reveals Who Put Together His Iconic SummerSlam Match Against The Rock and Triple H

Kurt Angle was a fan favorite during his time in WWE. Kurt not only impressed the WWE fans with his skills, but he also gave them some thrilling matches ever since his debut.
One of his legendary matches was back in his prior days in 2000. He took on Triple H and the Rock at SummerSlam 2000.
Recently, in an episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt talked about his SummerSlam 2000 match. He revealed the name of the person who helped him put together his SummerSlam 2000 match.

Kurt took the name of Pat Patterson, who is a former WWF wrestler. Patterson debuted back in 1979 and got inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame back in 1996.
He said, “Well, Pat Patterson was a big part of it and Rock and Triple H and I, all threw in our two cents worth.”
Angle also talked about the unfortunate landing of his on the commentator’s announce table when Triple H hit him with a pedigree on the table.

Kurt Angle reveals the story of the match in SummerSlam 2000
Kurt also revealed the story of the match during the episode. He revealed he was supposed to pretend to be knocked out and then come back in the ring to get involved in the match.

But Kurt claimed that he got knocked out for real as the table gave way early and Triple H did not have time to let his arms go so that he could protect himself.

Kurt said, “I wasn’t supposed to get knocked out for real. It was supposed to be at work and unfortunately, the table gave way early and Triple H had my arms behind my back with his pedigree finish and he didn’t have time to let my arms go so I could protect myself. So, the table gave way early, and I got knocked out for real.”
Kurt claimed it was a nightmare for him as he got knocked out for real, though it was not the plan. This incident injured Kurt, and they took him off. But midway between the match, Angle returned and got into a brawl with Triple H.

The Rock took advantage of this situation and threw Angle over the top rope and delivered a People’s Elbow on Triple H into a pinfall to win the match.
