John Cena’s popularity extends beyond the world of wrestling. He has carved out a successful career in Hollywood and has smoothly transitioned from the world of wrestling to Hollywood. Due to his camaraderie in the WWE and pro wrestling business, he receives support from his colleagues.

While John Cena is back to WWE for an unknown amount of time due to the WGA strike, one of his films was announced to be released on October 27th. Popular WWE superstars and wrestlers show love and support towards his recent movie.

Superstars from WWE, AEW, and NJPW show support for John Cena

Popular journalist Sean Ross Sapp of Fightfulselect.com posted a picture on X of superstars from WWE, AEW, and NJPW. The picture was posted on October 24th with the caption, “Tons of wrestlers showed up in Orlando for the Squared Circle Screening of John Cena’s new movie Freelance. Talent from WWE, AEW, and NJPW were on hand, including LA Knight.”

John Cena plays the role of Mason Petit in the blockbuster film. The movie will hit the theaters on October 27th. Directed by Pierre Morel who has also directed Taken movie starring Liam Neeson, it is an action-thrill movie. The movie is about an ex-special force operative who provides security to a journalist who sets out to interview a dictator. However, a military coup breaks out, forcing the group to escape to a jungle for survival.

The movie features Alison Brie, Alice Eve, Juan Pablo Raba, and Christian Slater. Jacob Lentz wrote the script for the film. The movie was made with a budget of $40 million.

The picture uploaded included John Cena’s partner from SmackDown and the uprising Megastar LA Knight. Other attendees included former WWE superstars Peyton Royce and Tye Dillinger, Riddick Moss, and Emma. Top Dolla appeared in a picture with NXT rookie Steph DeLander. Other superstars included Fandango and former WWE Champion Alexa Bliss.

Despite his movie commitments propping up again, Cena has still yet to put his endeavors in the squared circle behind him.

John Cena expected to remain with WWE till the end of the WGA strike

Several notable wrestling personalities appeared to watch the special screening of John Cena’s action-packed movie in Orlando.  Despite a busy schedule, the Hollywood star also remains active inside the ring. Currently, Cena is working with WWE as a regular performer on Live TV after the WGA strike was announced.

Cena has clarified that he will most probably return to Hollywood once the strike is over. But as of now, the fans are enjoying his run where he continues to push upcoming WWE superstars. As of now, Cena is engaged in a feud with Solo Sikoa and might face Sikoa at Crown Jewel in a singles match.
