After he participated in the Royal Rumble, CM Punk appeared on RAW; not to celebrate his performance in the 30-man battle royale, but to report on the injury he suffered during the event. His WrestleMania dream won’t materialize due to a tricep injury he suffered during the Royal Rumble.

Despite acknowledging that lady luck doesn’t favor him, Punk vowed to continue to fight to make his dreams come true. The former AEW star stated that there will always be next year to fulfill his WrestleMania dream. Nevertheless, fans can witness the exact moment Punk suffered the injury in a video that has circulated on social media.

During the 30-Men Royal Rumble, Punk appeared in what was his first televised match since his return at the Survivor Series. He put on a stellar display as he reached the final two. However, he missed out on the ticket to WrestleMania to ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes. And it was during this epic rumble run that he suffered a tear in his triceps. The video of Punk noticing the injury has gone viral. According to ‘PW Insider’, a future shock DDT by Drew McIntyre caused the unfortunate injury.

Sadly, for all fans, this means terrible news, as speculation suggested that the former AEW star would challenge Seth Rollins for the title at WrestleMania 4. The foundation of this rivalry had already been sown since he made his return at Survivor Series. Plans revolved around the feud culminating at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Nevertheless, the seeds of his feud upon his comeback have come to fruition on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. Drew McIntyre made his entrance in the opening segment, interrupting Punk’s moment. And he didn’t have good things to say to the Second City Saint.

McIntyre spews venom again

Drew McIntyre assured that he still thinks that CM Punk is poison for the locker room. The Scotsman reiterated that he still remembers all the bad things Punk did to him in the past. Despite resonating with the Chicago-based star, McIntyre prayed that he did not make it to WrestleMania, and he is glad that it happened.

However, Punk said he will go to rehab, and the first one to incur his fury when he returns will be Drew McIntyre. The two engaged in a small exchange of blows until Sami Zayn arrived to save Punk. With this injury, the former AEW star joins the list of injured stars in the WWE, joining Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. However, this isn’t the first time that the ‘Cult of Personality’ suffered such an injury.
