Legendary Referee Hints at Former Employee, Who Once Had an On-Screen Rivalry With John Cena, Involved With Sasha Bank’s WWE Pay

Sasha Banks is reportedly on her way to Japan currently, and as per some reports, she has landed in the country as well. Banks is rumored to wrestle at Wrestle Kingdom in Japan. Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the company earlier this year after the backstage dispute.

After their walkout, WWE suspended both Banks and Naomi from their roster and even stripped them of their titles. Since then, the former tag team champions have hardly made any public appearances, and are rarely seen in public.

The wrestling fans and WWE Universe were shocked when they found about the eventual walkout and suspension of the former champions. And only recently did rumors sparked about Banks moving to Japan for her future career, while Naomi’s future is still blur.

Legendary WWE referee and manager Teddy Long revealed what might have ignited the situation. Reports from Dave Meltzer state that Banks might ask a similar pay like Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, but was denied.

However, Long believes that John Laurinaitis might have something to do with the denial.

He stated that there might have been some reason that was stopping Banks from receiving her deserving money. Long stated, “Maybe the guy who was there, Laurinaitis, maybe he got something to do with it, too. So you just never know.” 

Banks and Naomi walked out on Laurinaitis when this happened, and it has been why he rejected her the salary.

Former WWE Star opens up on the recent happenings on Sasha Banks

WWE Superstar Sasha Banks is currently reported to be a part of the Wrestle Kingdom in Japan this January. As per reports, she has arrived in the country. Former WWE Superstar Dax Harwood, also a close friend of Banks, recently revealed her current situation with WWE.

Harwood revealed that she is often misunderstood because of her passion for the sport. The former RAW Tag Team Champion said, “She knows what she deserves, and she knows what she’s earned, and she works her ass off to get it, and if she doesn’t get it, she feels slighted and she has a reason to feel that way.” 

Harwood further praised her and filled her with compliments.

He said, “Huge star, huge heart, beautiful human being, the greatest woman wrestler of all time. I think she’s just incredible.” Harwood and Banks are good friends in real life, and his big words for her, means a lot.
