Johnny Gargano, Leon Ruff, and Damian Priest met inside the WWE NXT ring tonight to battle for the NXT North American Title at Takeover: WarGames 2020.

The match started off with Gargano using a super-kick on Damian Priest. From there, the bout kept shifting towards anyone’s favor at different moments.

However, Johnny Gargano had come prepared with ‘ghost faces’. He had individuals in ‘Scream’ masks and outfits lurking around the ring. They were working on different ways to stop Damian Priest and Leon Ruff from winning.

Coming to the last moments of the match, Damian Priest was on fire. Not only did he dominate Johnny Gargano inside the ring, but he took out the ‘ghost faces’ all by himself.

While he did that, Leon Ruff took a jump off the ropes on Gargano, who was already not doing too well. Ruff almost secured the victory via pinfall, but Priest broke it after two counts. There was no way he would let Ruff or Gargano win.

Finally, Priest took out Ruff and Gargano using spinning kicks and was about to launch The Reckoning on Gargano. This is when another ‘ghost face’ appeared and hit him with a pipe. This was enough to take priest out.

Inside the ring, Gargano capitalized on the situation and rolled Leon Ruff to secure the win via the three-point count.

Johnny Gargano is now the new WWE NXT North American Champion.
