After years of camaraderie, Joe Rogan called out Dwayne Johnson for using steroids amid a shocking revelation about fitness influencer ‘Liver King’. Though there was no public response from Dwayne Johnson over Rogan’s speculation, something like that could sever any ties. However, much before all of this unfolded in December last year, the two had an interesting exchange in 2014 that also involved a couple of UFC legends.

Dwayne Johnson once used the Cormier-Jones rivalry to reveal his relationship status

On 31st December 2014, the People’s Champion posted a picture of himself from his gym session and informed his fans about his latest workout. The UFC commentator dropped a comment, to which Johnson replied that his relationship with his 75 lbs gorilla kettlebell is like UFC legends Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.

For the unversed, Cormier and Jones had a storied rivalry that spilled beyond the octagon. It was so fierce that at one point the Nevada State Athletic Commission fined them. While Jones, known by his moniker Bones, was made to cough up a $50,000 fine and 40 hours of community service, Cormier received a lighter punishment- a monetary fine of $9,000 and 20 hours of community service.

Cormier has since retired, but not before holding the titles in two weight divisions. Interestingly, Jon Jones followed in the footsteps of his former rival by emulating Cormier’s feat. He now has won titles in Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight classes.

The enmity between the two seemed to have died down as well, as Cormier lauded his legendary foe after the latter’s formidable win at UFC 285 against Ciryl Gane.

While Bones and Cormier might have let go of their past, the same cannot be said about The Great One and Rogan.

What did Joe Rogan say about Dwayne Johnson’s physique?

Rogan’s now infamous speculation on Dwayne Johnson’s physique was made after Brian Johnson aka the Liver King opened up on his steroid use last year.

Speaking on his ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast, the UFC commentator said, “The Rock should come clean right now. He should make a video in response to the Liver King video. I need to talk to you because the Rock’s been lying. There’s not a f**king chance in hell he’s clean.”

“Not a chance in hell. As big as the Rock is, at 50? He’s so massive, and he’s so different than he was when he was 30,” the 55-year-old host added.

While there’s no denying that Dwayne Johnson looks significantly bigger than he did two decades ago, there is also no evidence of the actor using steroids.
