Hulk Hogan is an amazing wrestler and celebrity. Being in the industry since the ’80s, he started the craze for professional wrestling in pop culture. Many credit Hogan for professional wrestling’s success nowadays. But he has shown in multiple wrestling promotions he is not the best wrestler to work with.

While he is a great person to be around, telling the Hulkster to do something can turn horrible at a moment’s notice. Many promoters have struggled with the decision to hire him, as it could be a matter of either giving up control or making a lot of money. But over the years, it is said that Hogan’s behavior has changed, but this producer has something else to say entirely.

Working for WWE as a podcast creator, Dan Ryckert, the creative director for Giant Bomb, opened up about his experience working for the multi-billion dollar company in an interview with MinnMax.

When asked about people he had difficulty working with, Ryckert immediately said, “Oh, Hulk Hogan’s a massive piece of s**t, he’s a terrible person, f**k him. I kinda worked with probably, to some degree, worked with most of the roster and a lot of legends and stuff.”

“Ultimately, a lot of these people are pros. I mean, they’re extremely media trained. They know what they’re there to do. There were rare circumstances where somebody would be like, oh my god I did not know they were terrible.

Working with Hulk Hogan

The Hulkster is infamous for being a difficult wrestler to work with. One of the many reasons being his tendency to be in the main event picture. Many wrestlers and promoters have come out saying they hated working with him, but some have agreed the opposite.

Watching his career later in WCW, WWE, and TNA can give you the perspective of a fan as well. The latter of which was moved to Mondays under his guidance, which led to the downfall of TNA.

One of the most infamous matches where Hogan’s ego is clearly visible is his match with Shawn Michaels in SummerSlam 2005. The match is full of spots where The Heartbreak Kid oversells every move. It has created some of the funniest wrestling GIFs over the years.
