Recently, the father of the youngest world champion in WWE history revealed his son’s recovery. It gave hope to his fans, who speculated his wrestling career was over.

However, the positive update coming from the ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton Jr. gave rise to several assumptions. The WWE fans are making a theory of ‘The Legend Killer,’ coming in the Royal Rumble.

During the virtual signing event for K & S WrestleFest, Randy Orton’s dad revealed his son’s current health condition. Bob Orton Jr. said, “He’s coming along. I see him maybe once a week or so. But he’s coming along. He’ll be back in there before you know it.”

Bob Orton’s wish to see Randy Orton fight against Cody Rhodes
The Viper has suffered a serious back injury which restricted him from coming into action for over 6 months. However, fans are hopeful of the fusion surgery that happened on his lower back.
This misfortune came to Orton after his last match against The Usos. On that day, the 14-time world champion along with Matt Riddle lost the WWE Tag Team Title Unification match.

Besides the health update, Bob also shared his thoughts about having a match of The Apex Predator against Cody Rhodes. As he said, “I think Cody [Rhodes versus Randy] would be a hell of a match. I wrestled Dusty a lot of times so, might as well keep it ongoing.” It’s evident that his wish reflects the history that both families share in wrestling.
