Matt Morgan says Vince McMahon wanted him to use F5 as his finishing move
After The Beast’s WWE departure, McMahon wanted an attraction like him in the company. Hence, he looked at Matt Morgan and told him to use F5 as his finisher. The WWE star-turned-politician recently shed a light on the same in an interview with Chris Van Vliet.
He added, “Anyways he called me to his office and tells me he wants me to do F5 as a finisher. Do I think I could do it, I said sure. No problem. But back in my head I always thought that was a shot at Brock, because he had just, not too long ago quit the company to go and try out for NFL. I was kind of the thought that was maybe a dig at him because I was close with him.”
The 46-year-old recalled he always felt Mr. McMahon would call him to his office to talk about a change in his finishing move. He had returned to SmackDown after spending some time at OVW as ‘Stuttering’ Matt Morgan with black dyed hair, beard and black trunks.
Morgan even started using the F5 on the blue brand. He recalled his first ever victim of F5 was then 500lbs Big Show. Hence, he is one of the stars to lift the ‘World’s Largest Athlete’. Furthermore, Paul Heyman had introduced Matt Morgan as ‘The Next Big Thing’ on his debut.
