The latest episode of Monday Night RAW before Crown Jewel 2023 was shaping up to be a great night for all those in attendance. However, for those watching at home, there was a small slip-up by veteran commentator Michael Cole. Cole has been with the WWE since 1997 and has made a name for himself working on the ringside commentary desk.

Being a ring commentator is not a straightforward job, and there are very few who have done it as long as Michael Cole has in the WWE. Slip-ups are bound to happen, and they can be hilarious once they acknowledge the mistake. This was what fans watching at home had to hear from Cole.

During the Xia Lee vs Candice LeRae match, Cole accidentally called LeRae before going to a video package. The WWE commentator quickly apologised for this fumble as soon as the video package was over. He attributed his old age as the reason for the slip-up, as he commented in jest.

Michelle was the first former Diva Search contestant to win the WWE Women’s Title from Melina. She had a rather successful career before being released from the company in 2009. Michelle made a return to WWE on the RAW Reunion episode aired on July 22, 2019. She went ahead to become the second woman to win the WWE 24/7 Championship.

The botch at WrestleMania 37 by Cole

This is not the first botch Cole has done during commentary. During WrestleMania 37, he botched calling the finish of a match. It was Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks, and Cole found a way to screw it up.

The commentary throughout the match was on point, but things took a turn by the end. As Belair hit Banks with her finisher and went for the pin, Cole shouted, “And a kick out.” However, the referee counted to three and declared Belair the winner. Furthermore, Corey Graves had to save the day by correcting him.
