Everyone in the wrestling world knows that MJF is one of the biggest heels in the industry. In the past and even now, MJF says a lot of things to rile up people and hate him even more. The one thing about him that is rare in pro wrestlers these days is that he is devoted to his character. Even in interviews or meet and greets, he doesn’t tone down his heel-ish tendencies.

Just looking at his actions from a few months ago, he threw a drink on a kid’s face in the crowd and later justified it by saying “the kid looked thirsty“. But his recent interview might have just stretched the line between what’s decent and what’s not. After this former AEW Women’s Champion called out Friedman on his promos, he didn’t hold back talking about her.

Sitting down with Sean Ross Sapp, MJF talked about a variety of things. From his Jewish heritage to his music taste, one question made everyone stop in their tracks. Sapp asked him about Baker tweeting about his personal life on Twitter and he didn’t hold back.

MJF replied, “She’s definitely upset because she thinks she’s a pillar because PG Punk said so. But the fact of the matter is she’s f*cking not, and even if she was, what, is she going to wrestle me for the world title? I’m three times her size. I would beat the living f*cking sh*t out of her. But I do respect the fact that she’s a dentist.

But Friedman, being an indie darling before AEW, has always talked favorably about wrestlers who aren’t ex-WWE. So why did he say such extreme things about Baker?

The history between Britt Baker and MJF

Being two of the biggest wrestlers in the company right now, it’s unfathomable to think that they’ll never interact with one another. When Adam Cole, Baker’s husband returned to AEW, she pitched the idea on Dynamite that he should be the one to dethrone Friedman, and the champion didn’t appreciate it.

Instead, he tweeted that Cole needs to keep his wife in check. But Baker replied to it by simply tweeting, “Worry about your own girl… Oh wait. Shit.” This was a reference to MJF’s recent breakup with his real-life fiancee and it must have hit pretty hard to the champion. AEW stars are no strangers to pushing the envelope when it comes to taking shots at each other when it comes to in-ring feuds and storylines.

While this response from MJF seems a little extreme, maybe this could be a set-up for a feud between MJF and Cole in the future.
