Months After WrestleMania, John Cena’s Upcoming Film Schedule, Co-Starring $75 Million Worth International Star Brings Him Close to Next WWE Live Event

John Cena is landing major roles and rubbing elbows with major actors in Hollywood. Ahead of his WrestleMania return, he was spotted in Melbourne, Australia for the shoot of Ricky Stanicky. Despite his onerous schedule, he has managed to make time for wrestling. And now, Cena finds himself in the same city as WWE’s next destination. 

On July 1st, WWE will fly to London for its Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The match card for the show is shaping up. With John Cena in the same city, fans are spitballing about his potential appearance on the show. 

A look into John Cena’s London visit

The Leader of the ‘Cenation’ is currently in London, UK, as his upcoming film project is in the works. The movie titled, Head of State also features Idris Elba and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. In a video clip making the rounds on the internet, John Cena is spotted in a gym in Liverpool, adjusting the weights and taking pictures with his fans.

Now that the fans know that Cena will be in the same city as WWE in three weeks, it begs the question- Will John Cena make an appearance at the Money in the Bank live event? The answer is, you never know! Busy schedule or not, John Cena never misses the chance to surprise the WWE Universe. 

However, at this point, his potential appearance is just mere speculation. John Cena is undeniably working very hard in Hollywood. He was recently seen on the silver screen in the Vin Diesel starrer, Fast X. In addition, his upcoming action film, Hidden Strike, with the legendary Jackie Chan is soon to be released. Watching the wrestling legend in films is always as interesting as watching him in the ring. At this point, although his appearance at MITB seems uncertain, we still can’t rule it out completely. 

The real reason why John Cena turned into a part-time WWE star

John Cena may be a part-time WWE star since he embarked on his Hollywood journey but he still loves wrestling like he did always. In fact, he revealed on Busted Open Radio that he still wishes that he could wrestle. So what’s keeping him from it? He said, My body can’t do it anymore, and I don’t want to give the consumer a bad product.

Whether you love him or hate him, you can’t deny that Cena religiously dedicated his life to WWE for the longest time. While many others left, he showed up every week and did the heavy lifting for his beloved WWE fans. Although he wishes to further his wrestling career, the 46-year-old star’s body reportedly doesn’t allow him. The sixteen-time world champion, however, hasn’t retired from wrestling outright.
