Every year the ABC Network, an American Television network, conducts an award ceremony called the ESPY Awards for recognizing talents across the sports industry. The current Smackdown Women’s champion Bianca Belair and ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks bagged the ESPY ‘Best WWE moment.

Belair, who was in attendance at the show, looked stunning in her costume and captured everyone’s attention. Chiefly, it was her first time at the ESPY Award ceremony, and the Champ was on cloud nine.

Bianca Belair shares her experience of attending and winning the ESPY Awards

The ‘WWE Moment of the Year’ at the ESPY Awards was filled with some of the best moments over the past year. It featured Edge‘s emotional Royal Rumble Victory, Popstar Bad Bunny’s impressive WWE Debut, and more. But the winner was Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, as they became the first black women to battle in a WrestleMania main event. Bianca also got nominated for her hard-fought Royal Rumble victory in the same category.

Belair shared her feelings after attending the ceremony via a tweet on her official Twitter account. ‘The EST’ of WWE tweeted that the whole thing was a fantastic experience for her. Belair added- “My mind is blown. My heart is full. I hope everyone feels just as much a part of this moment as me because “WE” did it.”

Sasha Banks, who was also present for the ceremony, also wrote on Twitter about how much it meant for her to win the award and thanked the WWE Universe for voting for the moment.

When Sasha and Belair stole the show at WrestleMania 37

It is certainly a fitting tribute from the ESPY’s to hand over last year’s ‘Best moment of WWE’ to the duo of Belair and Banks. Both Superstars were exceptional when it came to performing in WrestleMania. The match was certainly one to remember as Belair defeated Sasha to become the Smackdown Women’s Champion. The result was an emotional one for Bianca, as it was the first time she held a Women’s Championship.

Since WrestleMania, Bianca has single-handedly carried the women’s division of Smackdown. She hasn’t lost the title yet, even after facing challenges from the likes of Bayley. Belair will next be locking horns with either Carmella or Liv Morgan.

The winner between Carmella and Morgan will face the Champ when SmackDown returns to live shows next week in Houston, Texas. On the other hand, Sasha hasn’t appeared on live TV since her disconsolate defeat at WrestleMania 36. Banks is rumored to be back in the ring soon for WWE.
