Recently, though, we got a sneak peek into the star’s life, work, and more.
What was the misconception about him?
Brian Gewirtz made the revelation about The Rock in his book “There’s Just One Problem…: True Tales from the Former, One-Time, 7th Most Powerful Person in WWE”.
“There’s a misconception among some that the Rock has all his promos fully scripted for him. Not true.”

It is very natural to think they are scripted. The energy and finesse with which Johnson appears in front of the camera is really something. It is something that not a lot of actors or wrestlers can replicate. It is probably the number one reason for his wide popularity and appeal.
Gewirtz added that “Having the talent heavily involved in the creation of the promo will almost always result in a better promo than just handing them a piece of paper.”

Dwayne Johnson tweeted about Gewirtz’s book
Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to appreciate Gewirtz’s work in the book and beyond. It reveals a lot about the kind of dynamic the two of them have with each other — Even though Gewirtz was not a wrestler. Gewirtz himself agreed how unreal it was to work with the likes of John Cena, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. “It was such an unexpected path,” he said.

Boss (Vince) agreed.
Wrestlers hated it.
