WWE superstars have achieved significant success in Hollywood. Three of those names are currently the biggest stars in the industry; Dwayne Johnson, John Cena and Dave Batista. However, is there a chance we could see all three in one movie?
Why doesn’t Batista want to work with John Cena and The Rock?
On Twitter, Batista responded to a fan who wanted to see Batista, John Cena and The Rock in a single movie. While the idea is mind blowing and could break box office records, the Animal wasn’t too keen on taking up the job. He wrote back to the fan, “Nah I’m good!!”

Now neither Cena nor The Rock responded to the tweet, but certain fans saw this as a verbal jab at the Cena and Rock. To avoid controversy, Batista clarified the issue on Twitter, equally controversially. Not only did he claim his reasons weren’t personal, he even compared the range of characters he’s portrayed in movies of different genres.

I figured a visual reference might help. I’d just prefer not to be lumped in. Nothing personal. 🤷🏻♂️ #DreamChaser https://t.co/JFHAaw053F pic.twitter.com/djKZBylIuT

The Rock has featured in primarily action movies, replacing the likes of Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Tom Cruise and even Jackie Chan. Even Rock’s WrestleMania rival John Cena has featured in mostly action roles, most recently in F9.
Batista pointed out the fact that unlike Cena and The Rock, his range is quite extreme. Rather than being the WWE guy working with fellow WWE stars, he wants to blaze a trail of his own in Hollywood.

The Rock, Batista and John Cena have massive projects lined up for them, making a WWE return more and more unlikely. As much as the WWE Universe would love to see them in the ring, their work on the big screen is nothing short of exceptional.
Confirming his retirement from wresting, Batista recently featured in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. He will also star in the highly awaited sci-fi epic Dune, and will reprise his role as Drax the Destroyer in Thor: Love and Thunder. Speaking of superhero movies, The Rock will enter the DC Universe and Black Adam, and his summer release, Jungle Cruise will be out on July 30th.

From the three names, John Cena’s career in Hollywood is absolutely booming. Not only did he become the latest addition in the ultra-successful Fast and the Furious franchise, he also enters the DC Universe as the Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad. His DC character also got its own spin-off TV show, slated for a January release.
