It’s been almost a year since Moon returned to NXT, and she’s finally in the hunt for the NXT Women’s Title. Gonzalez will be a very tough challenge, but Moon knows what it takes to become the Women’s Championship. Will Gonzalez smash another opponent or will Moon become the third two-time Women’s Champion in NXT?

Mercedes Martinez vs Xia Li

The second women’s division match on the Takeover card is one building for months. With the reveal of Tian Sha, Xia Li has risen to the top of NXT with an undefeated streak. Her latest target has been former #1 contender Mercedes Martinez.

NXT did a superb job of building Mercedes as a title contender before the match with Xia Li. If she beats the veteran at Takeover, Li would be in pole position for a title shot at the SummerSlam Takeover, the biggest Takeover of the year.

Cameron Grimes vs LA Knight: Million Dollar Championship Ladder match

On NXT, Ted DiBiase brought back the classic Million Dollar Championship, which brought a smile on the faces of LA Knight and Cameron Grimes. Both superstars are fighting to climb higher up the ranks, and this ladder match is a step in the right direction for them.

The Million Dollar Man has done an excellent job in his new role in NXT, igniting this rivalry between LA Knight and Cameron Grimes. This is clearly the most exciting work Grimes has done in NXT, and might serve as the launch pad for his and Knight’s career.

MSK and Bronson Reed vs Legado del Fantasma: Winner take All match

Legado del Fantasma is the best faction in WWE right now. Their work rate has been far beyond that of Imperium, the Undisputed Era is no more, the Kings of Wrestling are on a break with Danny Burch’s injury and the lesser said about alliances on the main roster the better.

Santos Escobar will try to add another belt to his cabinet as he wrestles Bronson Reed for the North American Championship. As for MSK and their issues with Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde, the NXT Tag Team Championship scene is also popping.

NXT Championship Fatal Five-Way Match

Karrion Kross has been on a roll with his title reign crossing the two-month mark. With wins over Finn Balor, his confidence has soared, and he needed a defining challenge. Hence, he will now face every suitable challenger for his title at the same time. He will defend his title against Pete Dunne, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano.

This decision seemed dumb and genius at the same time. By beating four top stars, Kross cements himself as the top dog in NXT and he’ll need a mighty challenge for him to drop the belt. However, if he pins of makes one star tap out, he’ll still have three other challengers waiting like hyenas to pick up the scraps.

The match is going to be an excellent one, and we hope Triple H books it appropriately. All five men need to come out of this match looking great, as Kross still needs worthy challengers for his reign to look even slightly as glorious as his predecessor’s.
