Recap of the latest WWE NXT episode

The latest episode of WWE NXT delivered some brilliant matches.

Shotzi Blackheart and Shirai battled in an entertaining match to start off the night. Even though the latter emerged victorious, the overall performance of both Superstars was commendable.

However, Blackheart had built quite the momentum for herself at NXT. Unfortunately, there is a possibility that NXT officials will now put Shirai over her.

Next, current Champion Finn Balor announced that any potential challengers will have to prove their mettle before getting the chance to face him.

Coming to the tag team titles, Breezango proved that their title victory wasnโ€™t a fluke by decisively defeating Imperium.

Finally, the WWE NXT main event featured Damian Priest and Timothy Thatcher. Priest fought valiantly throughout the match to retain his North American title.

The broadcasting end of the event also had some news. Wade Barrett has finally signed with NXT and will be a part of the weekly broadcast team. Not only will he be a part of the NXT events, but also events like Takeover.

Barrett himself confirmed this deal during an interview. As a matter of fact, he revealed that the current contract has a clause which allows him to extend the partnership.
