Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson Reveals His First Target on WWE Raw

Gable Steveson is ready to put his foot forward in the WWE ring. The Olympic gold medalist got shockingly drafted to the red brand of WWE during the recent 2021 draft. Recently, he has made his intentions crystal clear following his move to WWE.

Steveson is excited to clash with some of the biggest names in WWE right now. During an episode of WWE After The Bell, he admitted he would like to get his hands on Big E and his WWE Championship. Well, if that match is to happen, then it will be no short of a dream match for the WWE universe.

While speaking on WWE After The Bell, Gable Steveson claimed himself to be a title seeker. He said, “I am on Monday Night Raw, so right now, I’d like to take care of Big E because he’s the champion. I’m title seeking, I’ve always been a title seeker.”

“Gold medal, NCAA championship, anything else I’ve accomplished and now that WWE belt, whether it’s Monday night, Friday night, I love to be that person that people show up to watch,” Gable added. (h/t credits: Inside The Ropes)

However, the WWE Champion is not the only superstar that the Olympic gold medalist will like to face. During the interview, he also revealed he would like a face-to-face with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. But now that Gable has been drafted to Monday Night Raw, Big E will be the most realistic choice among these three.

Fans compare Gable Steveson to former WWE champion Kurt Angle

Gable Steveson is one of the most talented wrestlers in the world right now. Among his many accomplishments, the Olympic gold medal at Tokyo 2020 will be the most memorable one for him.

But Gable is not the only person who has signed with WWE following an Olympic Gold medal. Former WWE superstar Kurt Angle had earlier made his WWE debut in 1999 after winning the Gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.

Soon after Gable Steveson signed a deal with WWE, the fans compared Gable with Kurt Angle. While speaking on WWE After The Bell, Gable claimed it is pretty cool to be compared to Kurt Angle. He feels it is crazy to be compared to Kurt Angle.
