

Every pro wrestler has something that they are known for. Some have a great in-ring career, others make a legacy out of being a constant fixture in the setup. Former WWE SmackDown Women’s champion and veteran performer Natalya is a name that can fit both categories. She may not have won a number of titles in her career but she has been the cornerstone of the Women’s division for a long time. The Canadian has had more wins than any other woman in WWE history. The reputation and admiration that she has built for herself are not just limited to fans but fellow wrestlers as well.

Recently, in an interview, she recalled a respectful moment from Triple H. In 2014, she went up against a young and raw Charlotte Flair and NXT and was entrusted with guiding her along.
Natalya showed she is the real queen
Natalya is an accomplished star and has earned her place among the most respected female wrestlers of all time. However, she seems grounded for the most part. In fact, she was trusted by WWE’s current Head of Creative to help Charlotte Flair develop her in-ring skills. In talks with ‘Toronto Sun’, the 40-year-old talked about her experience ahead of the 2014 NXT match with ‘The Queen’. She said, “It was like he knew that he could really trust and count on me to help Charlotte.”

The member of the legendary Hart family further added, “You need people that are willing to pay it forward but still know how to elevate themselves. Not everybody can do that. Not everybody is capable of that.” Within the world of sports entertainment, it doesn’t even seem like much of a brag. This is because of all the achievements that she has bagged. Fans couldn’t have seen it go any other possible way with the story.

Natalya gave herself an interesting moniker
Natalya has a knack for assisting or teaching other people the tricks of the trade. According to her, the life that she has been through has a lot to do with it. She mentioned, “I’m kind of a one-woman developmental system, where I can literally take all the things I learned growing up in the Hart family, in Japan, in amateur wrestling and jujitsu, in England, from my coach in developmental and I can transfer it to people and be able to pay it forward.

The match with Charlotte Flair set the ball rolling in terms of how far Women’s wrestling could go in WWE. Today, Flair stands as one of the flag bearers of the Women’s revolution in WWE. She has further gone to main event WrestleMania alongside Becky Lynch. It all started when the ‘Queen of Harts’ wrestled her heart out against Flair on NXT nine years ago.
