On March 11, 2022, Big E suffered a horrific neck injury during a WWE live broadcast. The American professional wrestler fell with his head after receiving a Belly to Belly suplex. He had to be removed from the ring with medical assistance and receive the corresponding treatments. The former world champion has been out of action for almost two years, and his future in professional wrestling remains in doubt after receiving several neck surgeries. And so far he has been constantly keeping his fans informed about his health updates. And now he provided another update recently in an interview.
Big E wants to make smart decisions
Big E provided a new update to the press, where he chose not to outline a specific date for a comeback. He reveals that he does feel great but he wants to make smart decisions and wants to take it slow considering the number of injuries he has picked over the years being a pro wrestler. He said, “So when I think about the damage I have done to my body over the years, I just want to be smart because this is the one body I get, and I have to carry it throughout my 40s, 50s, and hopefully beyond. So that’s the goal, so I just wanna make a smart decision, and I’m just so grateful to feel so good, to have no restrictions, and yeah, I want to be smart with whatever decision I make.”

The WWE superstar has been missing from action for a long time now, and WWE fans would be hoping to see him make his return soon. The member of The New Day brought up the same thought a few days ago in an interview with TMZ, as he said that he does not want to rush his arrival to the rings to avoid a possible incident in the future. He said, “I just want to make a smart decision. I didn’t start wrestling to end up in a wheelchair, so I just want to make sure I’m just making the best decision for myself.”

In the past, the wrestler described his condition as a Jefferson fracture, which required him to go through surgery to repair it. Several specialists pointed to his case as a ‘permanent’ one that would prevent him from returning to the ring. But Big E and his fans remain hopeful for a possible comeback soon. However, it is always wise to make sure that their injuries have fully healed before one makes a return. Especially in a sport as demanding as pro wrestling.
