In the world of professional wrestling, injuries can be a significant deal for any wrestler. It forced the former WWE Divas Champion to retire from the company in April 2018 because of a neck injury. While working full-time with the WWE, she won the WWE Divas Championship twice throughout her run. 

Interestingly, the day after announcing her official retirement, she was introduced as the new general manager of WWE SmackDown by Shane McMahon. But she still has a contract with the WWE as an ambassador. This former two-time WWE Divas Champion is none other than Paige.

Saraya Bevis, aka Paige, was recently criticized on the internet because she has not made her in-ring return since her neck injury. 

What did Paige share on her social media?

The two-time former Divas Champion Paige remains a hot topic on Twitter because she herself has added fuel to the fire about her potential return. However, the 29-year-old Paige delivered a shocking revelation for the WWE Universe about her neck injury.

Fans compared former Divas Champion Paige to former WWE Superstar Bryan Danielson and WWE Hall of Famer Edge. Apparently, both Edge and Bryan Danielson successfully returned to the in-ring action after career-ending neck injuries.

WWE Superstar Paige finally reacted to her in-ring return possibilities. Even though she was compared with the likes of Edge and Bryan Danielson, Paige has the utmost respect for them.

Paige responded, “It’s wild that some people are like ‘well edge and Bryan came back you are just lazy’ I’m inspired by them. I’m not lazy. My neck needs to recover. We are all different. Sorry fam.”

Will the former WWE Divas Champion return to in-ring action?

In the tweet posted by former Divas Champion, she clearly mentioned that Edge and Bryan’s recovery had inspired her. However, her injury differs from that of the two renowned wrestlers. The former WWE Divas Champion did not disclose any possibility of her comeback, as she requires more time to recover from her neck injury.

Meanwhile, this year in August, Paige will turn 30. It’s been almost four years since she has not stepped inside the ring. But in multiple tweets, she has expressed her hope to return to professional wrestling.

In 2021, the former Divas Champion on her Twitch channel shared that her WWE contract will expire in June 2022. Given her contract expiry date, even the WWE did not include Paige in the new WWE 2k22 game. The former Divas Champion manifested and called out WWE earlier in March for the same.

Paige revealed heartbreaking news about her comeback because even after 4 years of hiatus, she isn’t fit to make a return. In addition, Paige’s deal with the WWE is about to expire, and even the company isn’t aware if they would renew her contract or not.
