“The safest thing that I can say for my well-being is that Brock Lesnar does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do.”

This narrative of Brock being the purveyor of his own path in wrestling has led to displeasure among fans.

During his 2014 title reign, Lesnar defended the title just twice before losing it to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31. The same suit was followed when he won the WWE Universal Title in 2017.

“It has been that way since Brock Lesnar was five years old and I don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon. I’m sticking to that soundbite.”

This casts further doubt over Lesnar’s future in WWE, and if at all he would return to Vince McMahon’s kingdom.

Brock Lesnar and his recent WWE run

Brock Lesnar’s recent WWE run has been mildly impressive, considering he wrestled thrice in 2020. He delivered a solid performance at the Royal Rumble and destroyed Ricochet in Saudi Arabia before losing the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania.

At the Royal Rumble, Lesnar entered at #1 and went on an absolute rampage. He eliminated former winner Shinsuke Nakamura, behemoths like Keith Lee, Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan. He even eliminated his former tag partner Shelton Benjamin after teasing an alliance with him.

Brock’s run in the Rumble would be halted by the Scottish Psychopath, when he entered at #16 and Claymore Kicked Brock over the top rope. McIntyre won the match and went on to challenge Lesnar at WrestleMania.

At WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre humiliated Brock by kicking out of the F5 at 1! Brock was visibly flustered by his inability to put away McIntyre, before being put away by the devastating Claymore Kick.

Lesnar in AEW would break the internet. The Beast was WWE’s biggest draw, and Tony Khan would greatly benefit from his appearance on Dynamite

With Lesnar staying mum on his future, and Heyman knowing next to nothing, the future of Brock Lesnar in WWE has never looked so cloudy.
