With the return of The Rock, everything indicated that he would be the challenger to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. The roles in the rivalry were obvious, with Dwayne Johnson being the hero and The Tribal Chief being the villain. However, WWE modified its original plan, with The Rock now turning heel, a decision applauded by fans who claim that this version of The Rock brings intensity and a distinctive touch to the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

Well, it looks like The Rock is in full heel mode again as shown in his recent video on X. In the video; he provides an answer to whether he will be a part of the Elimination Chamber PLE in Perth, Australia. He said, “I know everybody wants to know what’s happening down in Perth, Australia. It’s going to be this weekend, right? Is that right? Yeah! The Rock knows when it’s happening.”

The Rock continued, “You know why? Because they kept asking the Rock, “Rock, will you go down to Perth? Could you come down to Perth, Australia? Listen, the Rock can’t be there in Perth. The Rock wishes he could be there in Perth. He’s gonna be there in spirit, and that’s all that matters. The People’s Champ’s spirit is gonna be in Perth.”

However, there is still a possibility of a surprise appearance by Johnson. Near the end of the video, Johnson reveals that he might fly down to Australia if Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes decide to talk trash him on the Grayson Waller Effect, that’s taking place in the Elimination Chamber PLE.

The Hollywood star said, “The Rock is going to slap the p*ss out of both of them, just like that. As a matter of fact, if they talk trash, the Rock will fly down there to Perth before that interview is over and he’ll do it.”

Will Rhodes and Rollins force The Rock to visit Australia?

So maybe, just maybe, The Rock might make an appearance after all. Despite not being booked for a match at the PLE, Rhodes, and Rollins are expected to further their feud against The Rock and The Bloodline in a hard-hitting episode of the Grayson Waller Effect. An appearance from The Tribal Chief and Johnson to bring about another confrontation against Rhodes and Rollins after the WrestleMania kickoff event will surely be a landmark in this enticing storyline on the Road to WrestleMania 40.

Rhodes and Rollins started a feud with the Hollywood star just weeks ago. The Rock slapped Rhodes at the WrestleMania kick-off event after hearing him challenge his cousin Roman Reigns and talk smack about their Bloodline. Now while Johnson has made it clear that he won’t be at Perth, if he makes a surprise appearance, the crowd might go crazy.
