“Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is”: Triple H Divulges Into WWE Having a ‘Plan B’ for Vince McMahon’s Retirement

The sudden retirement of a person who operated the WWE universe for 40 years was a shock to many. Vince McMahon made his presence known to both management and the audience of the product. Now, the famous son-in-law, is in charge as head of creative with his wife as the co-CEO.

Triple H appeared first time in a one-on-one interview after taking the position as creative head. Hunter revealed in the interview the backstage conversation and the change in the leadership of the company.

Triple H told BT Sport, “I’m hearing the conversations and I know it’s coming, but then there’s still that moment where they go. This is happening tomorrow morning at eight o’clock. […] And there is really nothing you can do about it so you just take a deep breath and go like all right. You’ve been talking about it for a long time. Just go put your money where your mouth is now.”

Clearly, The Game was a bit nervous while stepping up to the position. And the concerns of Triple H were completely justified. When you are promoted to handle a creative department of a company whose worth is 5 billion dollars, a speck of uneasiness is normal.

Triple H also stated that it was a longtime conversation in the company about the future of the product after McMahon’s retirement. “It’s been a discussion point for years, you know what happens if, what is the plan if? It’s always been sort of talked about and as a succession plan and all those things but then when it really comes to that moment and it really comes to be it’s a different conversation,” Triple H stated.

The work done by Triple H so far is being appreciated by the WWE fans. The fans are seeing a new ray of hope for the product under the supervision of Triple H. Hunter has worked extremely hard over the years to get where he is now. He also stated that even now it’s hard for him to imagine the product without Vince McMahon.
