Randy Orton Reveals He Smoked Marijuana With Snoop Dogg Before WrestleMania 24

Fourteen-time WWE Champion Randy Orton shared a wild story on his Twitter. The Apex Predator revealed he once smoked marijuana before a WrestleMania match. His partner-in-crime, none other than legendary rapper Snoop Dogg. This was prior to Orton’s epic title defense at WrestleMania 24.

A Randy Orton fan page on Twitter uploaded a picture of the Viper and Snoop Dogg in 2008. The superstar and the iconic rapper were aboard the latter’s tour bus. Randy retweeted the picture with a caption that read, “WM 25 pre game.”

Orton corrected the error he made, noting that 2008 was when WrestleMania 24 unfolded, and also that he “smoked some ganja” with Snoop Dogg. This was quite an honest and wild admission from the former WWE Champion.

He also revealed that it wasn’t the first time he smoked marijuana, but it was his first time with the rapper synonymous with the substance himself. One can’t help but wonder if any other WWE superstar got to share a blunt with the legendary rapper.

Snoop even made a guest appearance at that WrestleMania held at the Citrus Bowl.

The Viper had a huge title match at WrestleMania

It is even more startling when one realizes that this was prior to a massive title match at WrestleMania 24.

Orton walked into WrestleMania 24 as the top heel champion in WWE. His character work was way better than the World Champion Edge, who faced Undertaker in the main event. Orton faced two of Raw’s biggest superstars in the biggest match of his young career.

John Cena won the Royal Rumble and won the right to challenge Randy for the title. However, Cena did not want to wait till WrestleMania and challenged Orton at No Way Out, where he won by disqualification but lost the title. The same night, Triple H won the Elimination Chamber match to set up a title match with his former Evolution stablemate at WrestleMania 24.

Cena beat Orton on an episode of Raw and got added to the match, making it a triple threat. Triple H had his issues with Cena too, as he was tossed out by John in the Royal Rumble.

The three top stars put on an entertaining triple threat match, where Orton won after punting Triple H’s head off. He then pinned Cena, who was laid out by a Pedigree, to retain the title.
