The passion-filled announcement by Cody Rhodes regarding Randy Orton‘s return has taken the WWE Universe by storm. If the pop during the announcement was loud, the online wildfire is raging. While fans would have loved to hear his theme song play rather than a flat announcement, the fans still sounded their excitement after months of speculations. However, who is he gonna feud with after the Survivor Series match?

While there are a number of talented stars Orton could feud with, we have one in mind: his WarGames teammate, Jey Uso.

Randy Orton’s next potential feud could be with Jey Uso

Before we look at who Randy Orton could face after the WarGames match, we need to look at his last feud in the WWE. The Viper’s last match was on the May 20, 2022, episode of SmackDown, where RK-Bros lost to The Uso. The match was a Tag Team Title Unification match, and it was at that unfortunate time Orton suffered his back injury. This injury put him on the shelf for 18 months.

Now, while Jey left The Bloodline and moved on to RAW, he is still half the reason for the former WWE champion being injured and missing out on over a year’s worth of action. While the two are going to be teammates for the WarGames match, there is no denying that there will be some tension.

Even Jey’s opponent, Drew McIntyre, before turning heel, expressed his distrust in the former Bloodline member. This stems from Jey’s history with The Bloodline and his work as the right-hand man of Roman Reigns. While the RAW star won the trust of Rhodes, it wasn’t easy to do the same with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Now it’s Orton’s turn.

Fans have been speculating that while Orton will help Rhodes and his team in their efforts against the Judgment Day, there will be tension in the group. The seeds of the feud could be planted during the WarGames match. We could be looking at the start of a great feud.

The potential storyline for Orton and Jey

While this is all speculation, one potential storyline could mirror what happened between Rhodes and Brock Lesnar. Lesnar pretended at first to be on Rhodes’ side against Reigns in April 2023. However, he quickly showed his true colors, and the two got into a feud. The feud ended at SummerSlam 2023, with both men showcasing their respect for each other.

This could be Jey’s redemption story with Orton. While Jey was responsible for Orton’s medical predicament, the two men could feud until Mania season. The feud would end with both men having gained a new sense of respect for each other.
