WWE Clash of Champions 2020 is ready to grace our screens this Sunday. With some great and unexpected matches, the pay-per-view will be one to watch. Keeping this in mind, Drew McIntyre vs Randy Orton for the WWE title is one of the most unpredictable matches on the card.
Probably the oldest rivalry on the PPV, Orton and McIntyre go back to SummerSlam 2020, where the two took each other to the limit. Finally, McIntyre got the victory through a roll-up after a 20-minutes fight.
The rivalry could have ended there but WWE had other plans. For the past one and a half months, the storyline between Orton and McIntyre grew more intense.

The duo continuously attacked and injured each other week after week. As they both repeatedly sent each other to the hospital, their match at Clash of Champions 2020 became an ambulance match.
Randy Orton gets ready for historic win
WWE wouldn’t invest so much in this story if they didn’t have big plans. Clash of Champions could witness Randy Orton’s 14th World title win. Orton is easily the top heel in the company and his ‘Legend Killer’ persona has been praised by many.
On the last edition of Raw, Orton RKO’d Drew McIntyre and issued a warning. Randy has defeated multiple legends in his long career, and McIntyre can be the latest addition on the list. Since this is an ambulance match, a pin-fall is not necessary, giving the Viper an added advantage.

There was a possibility of having Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre face off at Survivor Series 2020. However, that PPV is in November and McIntyre might win the title back just in time. McIntyre can also get some time off after the loss.
After Orton’s win, maybe we will get to see a proper rivalry between him and Keith Lee. Till now, the ‘Limitless One’ has only been used as a third wheel for the Orton-McIntyre rivalry.

Randy is one of the last Superstars of the Ruthless Aggression era and he deserves a run that is deserving of his legendary stature. Even though he was falling short in previous matches, he will prevail in the “unusual” ambulance match.
WWE Clash of Champions 2020 streams live on WWE Network on 27th September, live from Amway Center, Florida.
