RARE! The Miz Botches Championship Name on WWE Raw

One of the most eminent criticisms in relation to modern WWE is that the promos are overly scripted. The fans believe that the promo should be organic and come from the heart rather than a script for each Superstar. In fact, it’s not just the fans who feel this way. Over the years, various Superstars have struggled to memorize a written promo and completely botched their lines during it. The Miz is the latest victim.

We are not sure if others picked up on that, but we are pretty sure that the current Raw Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley, certainly would have said something about it.

It is highly unusual of The Miz to botch a promo as he is one of the best promo guys in history. His promos are always on point, believable, and highly entertaining.

But we will let ‘The Awesome One‘ slide with this botch as he has just returned from an injury after WWE’s Backlash 2021. Maybe he’s just a tad rough around the edges for now.

Miz’s first botch in WWE

The Miz is well known for being one of the best overall promo guys in the entire WWE. However, it wasn’t always this way.
During his Raw debut, The Miz would cut a promo in relation to how fans could vote in the Diva search. Unfortunately for The Miz, the pressure got too much for him and he completely forgot his lines.
Speaking to Alexa Bliss on her Uncool podcast, Miz revealed that he forgot the phone number at the Diva search. He was the host of the show and literally forgot everything. He said,
“When you’re the host and you don’t have cue cards, you don’t have a teleprompter, you’re just out there. And if you forget the phone number that everyone has to call to vote in on, guess what, that’s not a good thing. And it’s not like it was on the board or anything like that I could actually read off of.”
