In 2021, various pro-wrestling legends have passed away, leaving the fans with their legacy. However, with this last month remaining, the wrestling fans have endured yet another tragic loss to the industry. What made this one stand out was that WWE chairman Vince McMahon mourned the wrestler’s death.
Pro wrestler Jack Lanza, aka Blackjack Lanza, has died at 86. The legendary pro-wrestler worked for various wrestling promotions, including the AWA, NWA, and WWE.

Vince McMahon took to his Twitter and expressed his grief with an emotional post. The Chairman wrote, “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Jack Lanza. He was a man’s man, respected and beloved by all. He worked for and loved WWE for many years. His loyalty and dedication will never be forgotten.”

The reason for the legend’s death has not been reported as of this writing. However, the wrestling community is devastated by yet another loss of a gem.
Apart from Vince McMahon, even Jim Ross reacted to the passing of Jack Lanza
Vince McMahon was not the only one to react to the tragic incident. Former WWE Head of Talent, Jim Ross took to Twitter and revealed that Lanza was WWE’s lead agent in the Attitude Era. He wrote, “Just heard from old, Winnipeg friend Bob Holliday that Jack Lanza has passed away at the age of 86. Jack was our lead agent during the Attitude Era. Helluva hand.”

WWE inducted Jack Lanza into the Hall of Fame in 2006, where the company celebrated his career and his contribution to the industry. Lanza was one-half of The Blackjacks with Blackjack Mulligan in the American Wrestling Association (AWA) and the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF).

During his time with AWA, he won the AWA World Tag Team Championship with Bobby Duncum. However, most of his title wins came when he wrestled for NWA Big Time Wrestling where he won NWA American Heavyweight Championship, NWA American Tag Team Championship with Blackjack Mulligan. Furthermore, he was a two-time NWA Brass Knuckles Championship winner.
Eventually, the legacy left by Jack Lanza will forever live in the hearts of the wrestling fans and everyone who was close to him.
