Such a moment happened on December 22, 2008. In a segment of Raw, a mixed tag team match took place, and for this, a WWE Hall of Famer made her comeback.

Why did John Cena and Trish Stratus come together?
In July 2018, Santino Marella, the Canadian superstar, challenged Beth Phoenix for a one-on-one match. Later he was defeated, and both made a tag team called ‘Glamarella.’
Both superstars also went on to win individual titles at SummerSlam 2008. Marella won the Intercontinental championship while Phoenix won the WWE women’s championship.

The WWE Universe loved the tag team and, therefore, they continued their run for some time. In a segment of Raw, while Marella and Phoenix were addressing the WWE Universe, John Cena entered and challenged them for a mixed tag team match.

Return of the Legend: “WWE Diva of the Decade” Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus, one of the greatest female performers in WWE, made her comeback after two years to partner with John Cena. The Glamarella was in shock at seeing Stratus return. While the WWE Universe was ecstatic to see the legendary superstar return.
The classic match packed with iconic superstars of the franchise came out as a blockbuster. It was the main event of Raw. Cena and Marella started well and even gathered some momentum.
Trish and Phoenix competed admirably and Stratus even hit Phoenix with her famous move, chick kick. Finally, Cena slammed Marella with his finisher ‘Attitude Adjustment’, and pinned him for a win.

This was certainly one of the most entertaining mixed tag team segments in WWE history. And since then, people have been waiting to see such a legendary pairing happen again in the WWE.
