The Intercontinental Champion made his mark by winning, but there is a lot of doubt over the actual winner of the fight. The ending of the match is disputed, to say the least.

In a recent post on Twitter, Big E posted a tweet made by Apollo Crews on his height along with some other jokes. He added that his victory was revenge for those statements.

Big E managed to pin Crews, but in the process was also pinned. This happened when he had Crews’ shoulders down but unknowingly kept his down at the same time.

This meant that it was a double pin. Big E celebrated the victory but the referee informed him that the spoils were to be shared.

The victory was ultimately that of Big E’s because a double pin would mean a tie. Hence, the big man would hold on to his title as per the rule book. The entire source of events did not sit well with Apollo Crews.
