Now, with SummerSlam coming up, it’s expected that McIntyre and Mahal will have a match. The Modern Day Raja has even revealed the kind of match he wants.
“You know, I wouldn’t mind having Drew in the Punjabi Prison. Nowhere for him to run, he can’t go get steel chairs, and he can’t play mind games and destroy my motorcycle. It’ll be me and him locked in a cage and I’ll show Drew that I’m the better WWE Superstar, I’m the better WWE Champion, and I’m going to become WWE Champion again. Currently, Bobby Lashley is the WWE Champion. McIntyre lost it to The Miz at Elimination Chamber and a week later Lashley secured it from The Miz.

However, it’s not fresh news that McIntyre wants to be champion again. If Mahal’s words are true, and he wins the championship somehow from Bobby Lashley, McIntyre could reignite his feud with Mahal for the WWE Championship. He can’t do it against Lashley because, as per their last stipulation, McIntyre cannot challenge for the title till Lashley is champion.
As of now, all of these are predictions. A lot of McIntyre’s title shot possibility depends on how long Bobby Lashley is champion.
