Royce cut an impressive promo ahead of her match against Asuka tonight on Raw. She said she would’ve gone on Raw Talk to cut that promo years ago if she knew it would lead her to get what she deserves. But despite that, Peyton Royce was annoyed. The reason? She had to get viral to get the opportunity she deserves.

She said, “I wake up every morning, and I battle with these thoughts in my head, knowing that I tick every box, and still wondering what’s the problem? The problem isn’t me. I am good enough to deserve these opportunities without having to ask for it. I’ve been ready for years.”

Royce finally gets her hands on Asuka

Finally, Royce and Asuka squared off in the second match of the night. And boy, they did not disappoint! Peyton Royce looked a million bucks. You could see the confidence and determination in her eyes.

Royce surprised Asuka with a series of moves. She even rolled her up in unique sequences; something Asuka hasn’t seen from an opponent in some time now. But, as they say, “No one is ready for Asuka,” Royce wasn’t either.

Asuka bounced back in the match and connected with a series of german suplexes to soften her opponent. After a nice back and forth, the ‘Empress of Tomorrow’ locked Peyton Royce in the Asuka lock. The Australian tapped out, falling just short. But her performance impressed everyone for sure.

Royce’s promo on Raw Talk and the one ahead of her match proves how good a talker she is. However, she is a workhorse in the ring. Watching her get the better of Asuka in some parts makes us believe that with a little more effort, she will be ready for Asuka. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
