“I Looked up to You a Lot”- WWE Superstar Otis Pays a Heartfelt Tribute to Close Friend Brodie Lee

The wrestling world mourned the loss of Jonathan Huber yesterday known to AEW fans as Brodie Lee and to WWE as Luke Harper. His influence soared far and wide across the best in the business who shared stories of how he helped them. 

Twitter was lit up with such tributes to the Superstar whose impact on the lives of many was brought to light. In a recent post on Instagram, WWE Superstar Otis also shared his mind on how close Brodie Lee was to him.

Otis and Tucker are two of the most underutilized talents in WWE. The two were split earlier this year, but they always found themselves at home when spending time with Brodie. 

The former AEW TNT Champion had the time of his career in AEW, blossoming into something big. However, few fans knew about just how good a man he was outside the ring. 

He received thousands of tributes following the news of his untimely death. Lee’s wife Manda confirmed in an Instagram post that he had passed due to a non-COVID-related lung problem. 

Brodie Lee touched the hearts of countless Superstars

Brodie may have been part of the occult-themed Wyatt family or the head of a villainous faction in AEW, but he was nothing less of a helping character outside the ropes. 

The several stories about his kindness, helping gestures, and loving personality stand as a testament to his character. More than anything, Lee was a family man and loved his children.

WWE and AEW Superstars Pay Tribute to Brodie Lee on Social Media

He was often seen talking about how close they were to him, and his loss will deeply impact them. He did, however, get to see his son in the ring one last time in a dark taping where Kenny Omega jokingly lost the AEW Championship to him.

Brodie’s mark on the wrestling world will never be forgotten and continues to pull it together even after his death. The day was marked by a rare truce between WWE and AEW universes as both mourned his loss in unison.
