The wrestling world is ardently following the actions of former WWE Superstar Andrade, who was released from his contract just a few days ago and is now a free agent. The former NXT Champion has just dropped a major update on his situation.

In a recent post on Twitter, ‘El Idolo’ revealed that he was already in talks with another promotion and is expected to hone his talents once more. Although he hasn’t confirmed the name, fans are sure that AEW has come calling.

Another interesting deception from this tweet is that Andrade is not bound by the 90 days clause of the WWE contract. This clause states that the Superstar in question will not the allowed to sign a contract with any other promotion for 90 days following his/her release from the contract.

This clause was applied most recently to Zelina Vega, who was released last year and has been a free agent ever since. Andrade is apparently not bound by this clause and will jump straight into this new path of his career, of which he has high hopes.

Fans expect him to team up once more with Vega. The two formed a stable in WWE and worked together on Raw. They could reunite at another promotion, but there is no solid news from that front as of now.

Andrade was one of WWE’s most underutilized talents

Andrade was never given his chance on the main roster and fell short of the heights he could have reached. His impressive show in NXT impressed a lot of fans and WWE higher-ups alike, but he failed to replicate that on Raw or SmackDown and was soon sidelined.

WWE paired him up with Zelina Vega and Angel Garza in what was supposed to be a feud, but he failed to deliver on expectations and was cut out from an already declining Raw product quality. Of the three, only Garza remains in WWE, although he isn’t a big name yet.

Andrade was not picked in the annual draft of 2020, which meant he would have to return to NXT. At first, he teased that he would return to the brand he once conquered but never made an NXT appearance after.

We will see him get the time he needs in whichever promotion he joins. Andrade has a lot of potential and can show WWE its mistake by not giving him the chance.
