Roman Reigns may be the head of the table, but he will have to start serving the others with a long spoon. On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the WWE Universal Champion made new enemies in Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik.

The SmackDown Tag-team Champions were booked to defend their titles against Reigns’ personal bodyguards, The Usos. Jimmy and Jey Uso were one of the best tag teams out there and that showed in the match. However, a miscounting from the official stole the victory away from them.

Furious by this unfair loss, the Usos demanded a rematch on the same night. Speaking to Adam Pearce and his assistant Sonya Deville, the two managed to get their request.

The second match was more competitive, and Dominik Mysterio’s spirited offense made up for his considerable lack of experience compared to the Usos. He fought smartly and combined his ground game with Rey Mysterio’s signature aerial maneuvers.

The Usos started on the front foot but were immediately pushed back by the champions. In fact, they were about to lose when Roman Reigns himself interfered, costing the Mysterios a hard-fought victory.

‘The Tribal Chief’ immediately took apart the two, spearing Rey Mysterio before decimating his son. Reigns did this to ‘preserve the pride’ of his family and couldn’t tolerate another loss.

Jimmy Uso is not on the same page as Roman Reigns

The Usos may be back but they aren’t the same. Although Jey Uso is and has been a Reigns loyalist for months now, Jimmy Uso doesn’t seem too content with being part of this new order in the family. He does understand that Reigns is in the wrong but can’t reason if it would be smart going against him.

These conflicts are exactly what the Universal Champion doesn’t stand for. He has bigger threats looming over him and doesn’t need internal conflict.

So far, Jey Uso has played a pivotal role in ensuring Roman’s success, but if Jimmy gets in the way of that, things could be very different.

With rumors of The Rock or John Cena returning, Roman Reigns will have to keep asserting his dominance. If this means cutting through a few enemies, it’s a small price to pay for ‘The Tribal Chief’.
