Paul Heyman enjoys the rarified air at the top of the mountain with Roman Reigns as he conquers all of WWE and sits comfortably on his throne. As the most dominant Superstar in WWE today, Roman Reigns has nothing but green grass ahead of him and has gone unchallenged for months.

However, there is one man that can still stop ‘The Tribal Chief’ and this is the beast that has been away for months. Brock Lesnar, the former WWE Champion, is the one man Reigns hasn’t defeated in his dominant run and could have one of the biggest matches with him.

In a recent interview with Esquire Middle East, Paul Heyman entertained the thought of Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

“I think there’s a lot of big money matchups. For Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar is absolutely positively one of them,” admitted Heyman. “But Roman Reigns versus The Rock is also huge box office. Roman Reigns one more time against John Cena would be huge box office. Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre at a WrestleMania would be huge box office.”

Paul Heyman was more supportive of upcoming stars

Paul Heyman also discussed the ability of current Superstars that are growing into major roles. He named Big E and Apollo Crews as two men that could go on to face Roman Reigns in the future at the main event of WrestleMania.

More than Brock Lesnar, he seems to be pushing younger talent who can make it big by facing an established star like Roman Reigns. These Superstars could get their big break and become the next Roman Reigns.

“I can’t tell you that next year’s WrestleMania shouldn’t be Roman Reigns versus Big E or Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns versus Apollo Crews. These are huge superstars stepping into their own the same way Roman Reigns stepped into his own last August,” explained Heyman.

Right now, if Brock Lesnar ever does return it would be to challenge Bobby Lashley. The WWE Champion has been instigating him for years and wants that fight with ‘The Beast Incarnate’.

Given his current position, Brock Lesnar would surely want to return and face him and attempt to prove his dominance over the roster. If Brock becomes WWE Champion, we could possibly see him face Roman Reigns in the biggest ever Champion vs Champion showdown. Until then, all we can do is dream about this rivalry.
