Drew McIntyre barely gets any rest and has been in and out of feuds ever since he won the WWE Championship last year at WrestleMania. He is now set to face his greatest test yet inside the Elimination Chamber.

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Adam Pearce and a returning Shane McMahon announced that the WWE Champion would have to defend his title at Elimination Chamber against 5 major names.

AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus, and The Miz will all be in the Chamber with Drew, making it a nightmare title defense for him. Apart from Jeff Hardy, every competitor announced is a direct rival of McIntyre.

Every competitor stands a good chance of winning the WWE Championship

The Elimination Chamber is considered one of the hardest paths to WrestleMania. The structure, designed for torture puts participants in an array of risks as the merciless steel chains bring in the pain.

Randy Orton is the biggest threat for the WWE Champion, and if he wins, there’s no doubt who Edge would want to challenge for the title.

Sheamus is another big name that McIntyre must worry about. ‘The Celtic Warrior’, a man who was once his best friend, betrayed him on last week’s episode of Raw. He too will have his eye on championship gold.

Drew McIntyre will have to watch his back, front, and both sides

It would also be interesting to see what role Styles’ bodyguard Omos plays in the match’s outcome. On numerous occasions, the gigantic man has rescued AJ Styles from seemingly irredeemable situations. If he enters the chamber, AJ Styles will fancy his chances.

Furthermore, The Miz has another golden opportunity. ‘The Awesome One’ has a free shot at the WWE Champion and has another shot if he cashes in his Money in the Bank contract!

This means that he can take advantage of the situation and take part twice in the same match, increasing his chances of winning exponentially. We can surely expect him to cash in at the end unless he decides to wait.

Regardless of who walks out as Champion, ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ will be watching closely as he makes up his mind.
