Paige was one of WWE’s biggest stars 6 years ago as WWE neared the Evolution era and saw the final peaks of the Divas division. Her feud with AJ Lee was one of the biggest talking points amongst WWE fans, and things looked bright for her future in the company.
However, right at her peak, a devastating series of neck injuries forced her into early retirement. Paige stepped away from the ring after an emotional farewell and has been involved in various other roles in WWE since.

On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Superstars Edge and Daniel Bryan came face-to-face and had a light-hearted moment. They both had the unrealistic realization that they were staring at mirror-images of themselves.
Both Edge and Daniel Bryan were forced to leave the ring at their peaks due to career-ending injuries. The two also bid an emotional farewell to the WWE Universe and were never expected to return.
However, they defied all odds and managed to pull off the impossible, making triumphant returns to the ring. They now compete regularly on Raw and SmackDown and are also the best at what they do.

Another record held by Paige is that she is the only female Superstar to win a title on her debut in WWE. She was expected to go in to win every title within her grasp and the future looked glorious for her.
However, she was forced into early retirement due to a neck injury, ending a potential all-time great career. Since then, WWE has offered Paige a number of backstage and manager roles on its shows.

If she does return, it would set up the perfect feud between two eras of Champions. Paige is regarded as the one who actually started the Evolution for the Women’s division but never gets the credit for it. That right there is what she could move to prove if she steps back in the ring.
