The wrestling world received some shocking news in the morning. According to various reports, WWE Superstar Andrade has requested a release from his WWE contract! Years after making it through NXT and the main roster, he is seemingly heading in a different direction.

Moreover, the rival promotions have already sensed the opportunity, and Andrade has a lot of choices, should WWE approve his request. In a recent post on Twitter, Impact star ‘The Machine Gun’ Karl Anderson dropped a teaser on Andrade’s next destination.

Although fans assume AEW will be the first to scoop up this talent, Impact could also convince him to join its roster, which has a very good working relationship with AEW and Tony Khan.

An interesting factor to note is that former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega, currently known as Thea Trinidad, has been a free agent ever since WWE decided to terminate her contract.

If AEW manages to capitalize and sign both Andrade and Trinidad at the same time, they could reintroduce the popular duo to pro wrestling fans, something that was last seen months ago in WWE.

Andrade, Trinidad (then Zelina Vega), and Angel Garza formerly made up a stable in WWE which broke apart. AEW could do it a second time and if booked well, both could really reach their potential.

WWE never managed to use Andrade to his full potential

The unfortunate truth with Andrade is that he never reached his potential in WWE. He made brilliant headway into NXT and even became NXT Champion before heading to the main roster.

There, poor booking and bad storylines saw him fade into the background, which is where WWE failed him. Fans have often complained that he is one of the company’s most underutilized talents.

Andrade’s time on the main roster came to a screeching halt last year during the annual draft pick when he wasn’t drafted to either brand. This meant that he would have to head back to NXT, where he hasn’t been notably used either.

A move away from WWE is only logical for his career, and he could really make WWE pay should AEW book him as he deserves. Any way you look at it, it’s greener grass for Andrade, be it AEW or Impact. Both offer him a good deal and sufficiently more time wrestling.
