Big Show shocked the world earlier this week when he confirmed his move to AEW, following the official announcement on Twitter and other social media handles.

The giant of WWE is heading to what seems like greener grass for him and aims to make it big under Tony Khan. The news of his move was kept a secret in such a way that fans were absolutely awestruck when AEW made the announcement.

Ric Flair was among those that had their jaws dropped for a while and admitted to being surprised with the announcement. In his recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer shared his opinion on Show making the move.

As you can hear above, Flair had no idea Big Show was moving to AEW despite being close friends with him. ‘The Nature Boy’ revealed that he had even met Show a few days prior to the announcement.

During this meeting, the topic never came up and the big man himself never hinted out at an upcoming move. Flair was shocked at first but then put all his good wishes on Paul Wight, whom he feels will do a good job.

‘Naitch’ also stated that he would be friends with Wight no matter where he is. The fact that WWE and AEW are absolute rivals in the viewership market at this point does not seem to waver Ric Flair in his opinion of Paul Wight.

The reason for this is that in WWE, he is a Grand Slam as well as Triple Crown Champion. He has also wrestled and won titles in WCW and ECW. Winning a title in AEW would make him the first-ever wrestler to do so in 4 of the major promotions or brands.

At the cusp of the unique achievement, Show moves to AEW. There is also a high probability for a match between him and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, who is also set to make appearances for AEW from March.
