The Undertaker, even in retirement, is one of the biggest anti-heroes in WWE history. He stalked the dark shadows in the business for three decades and sent every man who challenged him to the grave.

However, behind the character of “The Deadman”, Taker was known to be a very good asset for the locker room. Not only did he work well in the ring, but he also worked well as a colleague.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, former WWE Official Jimmy Korderas revealed his views on “The Phenom” when he was in the company.

“He not only led us, he guided us, with everything. He’s just… I’m an Undertaker guy. I can’t say enough good things about him,” said Korderas. “He’s such a good dude, he’s there in the bad times to help smooth things over, but he’s also there in the good times to say, “Hey man! Good job.”

Back in the day, Taker was chosen to be the leader of the WWE locker room. His influence on the morale of many Superstars has been pivotal for their development.

The Undertaker influenced Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s career

In an interview with WWE Network’s Meeting The Undertaker special documentary, WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson acknowledged this fact.

As a young man in the business, The Rock was deliberately being pushed down by other big Superstars who did not want him to get a push. The Undertaker acted as a cushion and helped him look the other way.

“He was always so steady, telling me, ‘Don’t worry about it, kid. Just go out and keep doing your thing. You have a hell of a future,’” revealed Johnson. “He would always ask me, ‘you hit 30 yet?’ Every time, I would say ‘no’ and he’d be like, ‘oh, s**t. One day, you will and your bones will be sore.’”

“I always appreciated that about Mark. It spoke volumes about his integrity and love for the business. And I’ll always be grateful for that,” said the former WWE Champion.

The departure of The Undertaker wasn’t just a blow to the WWE fans, it also was a blow to the WWE Superstars. When you hear them say he was the greatest, it was not just as a wrestler but also as a person.
