Matt Riddle didn’t have a great moment at WrestleMania, where he lost his United States Championship to Sheamus, but he seems to have shadowed that with an emphatic victory on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

‘The Bro’ went one on one with Randy Orton, and left the ring with a huge win, shocking Randy and the WWE Universe. With no distractions or interferences, Riddle managed to pin Randy through a roll-up and is now set to get back on the horse.

The former United States Champion knew exactly what he was getting into as he stepped into the ring with Orton. Knowing that ‘The Viper’ was a veteran and had far more experience than him, Riddle had a plan and stuck to it.

Immediately catching Randy off guard, Riddle jumped on his opponent’s back and tried to choke Orton out! Despite his best efforts to break through, ‘The Legend Killer’ found it hard to shake Riddle off his back.

‘The Bro’ played to disown strengths and refused to let Randy Orton find his momentum in the match. He did not let the latter get in any position that would suit him and kept him at bay the entire match.

Riddle managed to counter Randy Orton and his attempts

Just when Orton started getting in his energy for the match, Riddle switched to counters but Randy soon got the upper hand and managed to turn the tide. However, caught in the flow of his moment, Orton was blindsided by a quick roll-up by Riddle, who managed to secure the victory.

Randy Orton was out to teach Matt Riddle a lesson in respect towards his superiors, but now, the latter may be more notorious than ever. As for ‘The Viper’ himself, his poor record in 2021 continues with the crushing defeat.

Randy was supposed to face Braun Strowman on Raw and that fight was booked as the first-ever time the two would face off inside the ring. However, some last-minute changes may have prompted WWE to switch plans and head to the Riddle angle.
