One of the most underrated names in professional wrestling today is Matt Cardona. The former WWE Superstar wrestled in the promotion for over a decade before being laid off as a result of the company’s budget cuts last year in April.

Known as Zack Ryder in WWE, he had little glory and WWE could never capitalize on his potential and failed to make his character big, despite a popular fan backing.

Due to the lack of openings for him to come back onto the screen, WWE decided to involve him in the budget cuts, a tragic end to one of its most loyal talents.

Many may not know it, but Cardona had his last match in WWE against Bobby Lashley, the same man who is currently the WWE Champion. In a recent post on Twitter, Matt Cardona celebrated the moment that took place last year.

As you can see, Cardona jokes that he ‘put over’ Lashley. However, he congratulates ‘The All-Mighty’ for how far he has come and for winning the ultimate prize.

Bobby Lashley has gone from better to the best

Bobby Lashley has truly evolved into a beast recently. WWE carefully designed the character arc for this powerhouse by involving him in The Hurt Business.

What’s more, the plan paid off and under the mentorship of MVP, Lashley unleashed his true potential and became one of the most dominant men on the roster today.

His progress has also pulled up Superstars like Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, who have also evolved as part of The Hurt Business.

Although it may look like he has peaked, Lashley has a lot of glory left to seize. For years he has been calling out Brock Lesnar, a man whom he considers to be his ultimate opponent.

The two behemoths have both established themselves as the biggest men in the division, and Lashley has been ready for ‘The Beast Incarnate’ for a long time now.

It won’t be long before the two collide, and Lesnar could choose to return now that a challenge awaits him. We could be looking at the biggest showdown of the year, and possibly the decade.
