Is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Making His WWE Return at Royal Rumble 2021?

With the Royal Rumble approaching, a lot of WWE fans have started going crazy with return theories and a lot of names are in the shuffle. Recurring Superstars include Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Edge, and then there’s The Rock. 

One of the most popular Superstars of all time, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has always received a huge pop whenever he enters the ring. His work during the Attitude Era is still remembered by enthusiastic fans.

Having maintained his impeccable shape, The Rock can return whenever he wants. He is one of the few Superstars who have maintained their great shape even after retiring from professional wrestling.

For this reason, WWE calls him back once in a while to have a match or a short storyline. Fans think it’s time to summon ‘The Brahma Bull’ back again and this time for the biggest fight of the year.

Roman Reigns has been the force of SmackDown, crushing each and every opponent put in front of him. He established his dominance over the entire WWE Universe by beating Raw’s Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series in a thrilling contest. 

Since his storyline takes bloodline direction with the legendary Anoa’i family, fans can’t help but dream about a showdown between Roman Reigns and The Rock.

Dwayne Johnson and his father Rocky Johnson are both considered honorary members of the Anoa’i family, which has been providing the best wrestlers for generations to WWE. Roman Reigns is only the latest of this great clan.

So far WWE has not taken a stance on The Rock vs Roman Reigns, but we will know for sure if ‘The Great One’ makes a shocking Rumble appearance.

Dwayne Johnson has been preoccupied with his acting career, and thus won’t be available to have a feud with Roman Reigns.

However, there has been a lot of silence on this front for months and there is a chance that Vince McMahon worked something out with his go-to man.

Everyone expects Brock Lesnar to return, while Edge has already confirmed his entry. The Rock entering would blow ratings over the charts. He will surely seek to end the tyrannical reign of ‘The Tribal Chief’ and restore the balance of power in the Anoa’i family. 

If Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson does return, we can surely expect it to be big.
