The New Day took back the title that is rightfully theirs on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. The duo, consisting of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, curbed the momentum of The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander) to become the new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions.

However, they barely get to enjoy their achievement as the next challengers stepped right up. AJ Styles walked out with his humongous bodyguard Omos and the two had an interesting proposition.

‘The Phenomenal One’ challenged The New Day for the Raw Tag Team Championships. His partner? None other than Omos himself. Styles has decided to pair up with the monstrosity that is his henchman and will attempt to pull off the upset at the big stage.

Although, the two admitted that they haven’t been registered as a Tag Team, nor have they ever worked as a team before! They are, however, confident they can take apart Kofi and Woods.

Surprised by the fact that their new challengers don’t even have the proper gear or experience to be making such challenges, the new Champions were reluctant. However, Woods accepted the challenge, and the stage is set for WrestleMania.

Omos has been helping AJ Styles for months

AJ Styles has accompanied to the ring by Omos for months now. The big man is a performance center product, but he has taken up this unique role alongside Styles. It’s about time he actually got involved in the wrestling aspect.

Being compared to the likes of legends such as Giant Gonzalez, Omos is the big answer WWE has been looking for. Omos has been helping AJ Styles in his matches against various opponents on Raw, interfering whenever the referee is distracted.

The big man even helped Styles in the Elimination Chamber by ripping out the pod from the outside! The two working as a Tag Team would be something else entirely.

The combination of aerial power with sheer strength can be devastating for The New Day. Omos himself could rip apart Kofi and Xavier Woods. However, the lack of chemistry going into this fight could be the end of AJ Styles and Omos’ ambitions.

Being inexperienced in the format as a team, they could be tactically outsmarted by a team that has been doing it for the last 6 years.
