There have been a lot changes made in WWE over the weekend. The draft raided both brands and restructured the entire trajectory of storylines. However, something didn’t make it through to the next stage.

Raw Underground has not been seen on Monday Night Raw for the last two weeks. Fans have started wondering what happened to the ‘Fight Club’ themed sub-show.

It seems as though Underground has met its quick end, just two months after it was first introduced. Shane McMahon’s concept didn’t really manage to fill in the void of Raw as it was expected to.

In a recent report on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Raw Underground “for right now is considered done.” This means that we will no longer see the street fight segments again.

Developmental talents and NXT Superstars may suffer from the decision

Although this may come as uptight news to many fans, Raw Underground had a much deeper purpose. The side-show featured a lot of new recruits and Performance Centre wrestlers that were trying to make a name for themselves.

Each episode featured a new face, and quite a few fresh faces were seen fighting. Superstar like Dabba Kato, Riddick Moss, and Arturo Ruas made quite a name for themselves in the Underground ring.

Dabba Kato has been drafted to Raw, so we can expect big things from him. The other developmental talents will have to find another way.

The latest case in WWE pretty much cemented the decision of separating the developmental talents and NXT Superstars from the main roaster indefinitely.

The last thing WWE needs right now is another crisis in the locker room. Raw Underground may not be seen again for a while. If it is to come back, it will be sometime this month, or we can expect never to see it again.
