Rome wasn’t built in a day and didn’t fall in one either. However, Bayley’s decline from last year came faster than ever. Since she hit the peak of her career during the ‘Golden Role Model’ era, she has lost everything.

The former SmackDown Women’s Champion even fell short to Bianca Belair, who is now heading to WrestleMania to challenge Sasha Banks for the title.

However, she has no plans to soften the trash talk. In a recent post on Twitter, Bayley expressed her desire to challenge former WWE Champion, Rey Mysterio.

Although it may just be part of her current gimmick, the thought of an inter-gender Wrestling match between these two names is intriguing. The reason for this is that WWE has a strict policy against such matches.

The company has, however, loosened its grip on this since Sasha Banks did technically fight an inter-gender match against Reginald on the January 21, 2021 episode of SmackDown and did end up winning.

This could be a preview of things to come. Fans closely speculate dream inter-gender matches such as Charlotte Flair vs Randy Orton, but WWE has not issued any open acceptance policy of the form of competition yet.

Rey Mysterio has been helping his son Dominik in WWE

Rey Mysterio survived a feud with Seth Rollins, which lasted throughout the second half of 2020. He and his son Dominik were the stars of the show as they carried the feud to SmackDown.

With that angle done and dusted, Dominik seems to be settling in well with his role as a Superstar. Rey Mysterio has also been supporting him ringside and wants nothing more than to see Dominik carry on the torch that he lit.

‘The Golden Role Model’ has been in the dumps lately and is not even half the champion she was months ago. The losses keep mounting for her and there appear to be no avenues open to her on SmackDown.

If WWE does consider an Inter-gender fight, it would be something big. But as of now, there is still a firm no from that direction when it comes to the format.
